About the Project
The client paid around €1,600/ year on electricity at their home in Mijas Pueblo in Mijas on the Costa del Sol. Marblanc Solar installed a 7.4kW system, which will cut the client’s annual electricity costs by 99%.



Background
The client requested a free solar survey from Marblanc Solar, for which we carried out a home visit, drone inspection, 3D shading analysis, savings estimation and custom proposal.
During the home visit, the client showed our survey engineer a recent electricity bill showing a cost of €1,600 in the last year – around €134 a month.
The client also requested a backup box to protect them from power outages, which frequently occur in the area.
The results of our free solar survey showed the client could expect to save close to their entire annual electricity costs. The estimation showed an average monthly cost of €1 (not including standing charges).
Following our presentation of the proposal and some adjustments, the client went ahead with the installation.

Solution
We mounted 13 solar panels with a combined capacity of 7.345kW. This is a system that is enough to cut the client’s electricity costs by over 99% even without a physical solar battery.
We also installed a backup box which will ensure the client’s priority circuits are kept live during a power cut. The client is aware that they’re only protected during the day without a solar battery — but they wanted to consider adding a solar battery to the installation in the future.
We mounted the panels on various different roof sections to maximise solar power production.
Following installation, we immediately compared solar feed-in tariff providers and selected the best virtual battery option for the client. Following legal registration of the installation, we moved them to a new deal.
We also monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks as part of our post-installation services. We then assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-ups.
Results
The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar, especially our ability to cut their electricity costs almost entirely.
