This project took place in Elviria in Marbella. The client, who lives in the property year-round, wanted a dependable system that would lower monthly bills and provide power during potential blackouts.
Marblanc Solar has completed numerous solar installations in Marbella. After the client requested a free solar survey, our team conducted a thorough roof analysis, using drone imaging and shading studies to develop a custom proposal.
Our solar survey engineer confirmed that the property’s electricity bill was approximately €2,400 per year, averaging €200 per month.
The client had no major aesthetic constraints, but due to limited roof space typical of Marbella townhouses, our team optimised the panel layout to achieve maximum daily production within a compact footprint.
The final design featured 14 JA Solar 595W panels paired with an 8kW inverter and 5kW battery system. The setup also included UPS functionality, allowing partial backup power during blackouts. With these specifications, the expected savings are €1,884 a year – with a break-even period between six and seven years.

Solution
Our team installed an 8kW system consisting of 14 JA Solar 595W panels on the townhouse’s main roof. The system design maximised sunlight exposure while maintaining a low-profile look that blended neatly with the property’s architecture.
The installation was completed with minimal disruption. All cables were neatly routed and concealed, and the inverter and UPS backup unit were placed in a shaded, easily accessible area for optimal performance and ventilation.
As part of our post-installation support, we then secured an exclusive solar feed-in tariff with a virtual battery.
We also monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks to help optimise their appliance usage with plug timers and use of our solar app. Finally, we assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, should they have any questions.
Results
The client was delighted with the system’s performance and the substantial 78% reduction in annual electricity costs.
