Background
This client witnessed our installation of 17 solar panels on a neighbour’s property in Torre Real and asked for the exact same system. We booked a free solar survey to find out more.
During the home visit, the client showed our survey engineer a recent electricity bill; the client had spent €3,811 in the last year, roughly €317 a month.
The consumption was higher than normal for the client due to the recent purchase of an electric car and the use of an existing wall-mounted electric car charger.
Based off the neighbour’s system, the results of our free solar survey showed the client could expect to save €2,100 a year on electricity. Our estimation showed the client would be able to cut their bills to an average of €142/ month (down from €327) and achieve a payback period of under four years.
Following our proposal presentation and some adjustments, the client proceeded with the installation.

Solution
We mounted 17 solar panels with a combined capacity of 9.065kW. This system wasn’t expected to cut the bill down to the standing charge, due to the expected consumption of the car charger, but it would pay for itself in under under years.
Following the installation, we immediately compared solar feed-in tariff providers and selected the best option for the client. Then, after the legal registration of the installation, we moved them to a new virtual battery deal.
As part of our post-installation support, we monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks and assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, in case they had any questions and to schedule their first free annual check-up.
Results
The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar, especially our ability to create a system to reduce the running cost of a pre-existing electric car charger.
