About the Project
The client was paying around 450/ month on electricity after installing a heat pump system for their pool and underfloor heating in Nueva Andalucía, Marbella. Marblanc Solar installed a 10.2kW system, which is expected to save the client over €3,000 a year.

Background
The client requested a free solar survey from the Marblanc Solar website, having found us on Google. We agreed a time for our survey engineer to carry out a home visit, drone inspection, 3D shading analysis, savings estimation and custom proposal.
During the home visit, the client passed us a recent electricity bill showing an annual electricity cost of €5,400 – around €450 a month.
The costs were higher than the client was used to, as they had recently installed a new heat pump system to heat their swimming pool and underfloor heating. The most recent bill was over €800.
Our proposal aimed to cut the client’s annual electricity bills by 80%. But the client saw the 3D design in the proposal, and realised an installation of the right size would cover various roof sections. The client asked to see a proposal for a system that covered just one south-facing section.
The new proposal showed an annual estimated saving of €3,007 on electricity, and an average electricity bill of €193 instead of €450 – a 57% saving.
The client accepted the proposal and we set a date for the installation.
Equipment Installed
- 18x JaSolar 565W solar panels
- 1x Huawei 10kWh solar battery
- 1x Huawei 10KTL solar inverter (10KTL & 5KTL)
- 1x Huawei backup box
Solution
We mounted 18 solar panels with a combined capacity of 10.17kW – as well as a 10kWh AI solar battery. We recommended the battery installation as the client was using a heat pump during the night for the pool and underfloor heating, at certain times of the year.
We also installed a backup box to protect the owner’s essential circuits in the event of a power outage. Prior to installation, we consulted with the homeowner to decide which circuits would be kept prioritised (for example, the fridge, freezer, lights, hot water, etc.).
To maintain the solar installation out of sight, we brought in a plasterer to cover up cabling set into the property’s outer wall.
After installation, we monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks and assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-ups.
Results
The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar, especially our ability to custom-design a proposal based on aesthetic demands.
