Background

Castillo de la Duquesa in Manilva is a popular residential area where many homeowners are looking to reduce their rising energy costs by switching to solar power. This client, like many in the region, was motivated by the potential to drastically reduce their bills.

Marblanc Solar has completed many successful installations in Manilva and offers a free solar survey to every new client. This process includes a home visit, drone inspection, shading analysis, and a tailored solar proposal designed to maximise savings.

Our solar survey engineer discovered that the client’s average electricity bill was around €2750 annually, or approximately €229 per month. Reducing these costs was a clear priority.

The client’s main request was to maximise the use of their existing roof space, even though the roof had sections with different orientations. This requirement shaped the proposal to ensure each panel could perform optimally despite the varied layout.

We proposed a solution using high-output JaSolar panels paired with Huawei inverters. By breaking the system into multiple arrays, we ensured production efficiency. With estimated savings of €2662 per year, the break-even period will be short, making this an attractive investment.

Solution

Our team designed and installed a 13.090kW system spread across four different roof sections. Each section was connected to individual strings so that varying orientations would not reduce overall production.

One of the challenges of this project was accommodating the split roof layout. Marblanc Solar overcame this by installing four arrays on independent strings, ensuring that the orientation of the different roof sections did not negatively affect system performance.

As part of our post-installation support, we then secured an exclusive solar feed-in tariff with a virtual battery. The special electricity rates were 50% lower for electricity bought. fromthe grid, compared to the client’s previous tariff.

Finally, we assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, should they have any questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-up.

Results
