About the Project
The client was paying around €9,000/ year on electricity at their home in Nueva Andalucia in Marbella. Marblanc Solar installed a 10.2kW system, which will help the owner save over €4,100 a year and reach break-even in under 3.5 years.

Background
The client requested a free solar survey from Marblanc Solar. We set a date for our survey engineer to complete a site visit, consultation and drone inspection of the roof.
During the home visit, the client showed our survey engineer a recent electricity bill. The client had paid €8,952 in the last year – €746 a month – on electricity which was a relatively large bill due to the property being an Airbnb rental, and equipped with high-power AC units, among other appliances.
The client’s primary goal was to reduce operating expenses.
However, the client didn’t want the panels to be overly visible from the property’s grounds. This limited the available space for solar panels and meant the client potentially wouldn’t be able to cut their bills by the usual 80% we aim for at Marblanc Solar.
The results of our free solar survey – based on the client’s requests – showed the client could expect to save €4,052 a year on electricity. The estimation showed the client would be able to cut their bills to an average of €409/ month (down from €746) and achieve a payback period of under 3.5 years.
Following our proposal presentation and some adjustments, the client proceeded with the installation.
Equipment Installed
- 18x JaSolar 565W solar panels
- 1x Huawei 10KTL solar inverter
- 1x Huawei 10kWh solar battery
Solution
We mounted 18 solar panels with a combined capacity of 10.170kW. The system isn’t expected to cut the bill by 80%, as the client wanted to limit the solar panels installed for aesthetic reasons.
Nevertheless, the client is expected to hit break-even in 3.5 years.
Following installation, we immediately compared solar feed-in tariff providers and selected the best option for the client. Following legal registration of the installation, we moved them to a new virtual battery deal.
As part of our post-installation support, we then monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks and assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-ups.
Results
The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar, especially our ability to adapt a system around their aesthetic needs that still provides great value for money.
