About the Project
The client was paying around €243 on electricity per month at their villa in Manilva, on the Costa del Sol. Marblanc Solar installed a 15.8kW system, which is expected to cut the client’s bills by 95% each year.
Background
The client requested a free solar survey from Marblanc Solar. We agreed a time for our survey engineer to carry out a home visit, drone inspection, 3D shading analysis, savings estimation and custom proposal.
During the home visit, the client passed us a recent electricity bill showing an annual electricity cost of €2,920, which came to around €243 month.
The client was interested to see a proposal for a solar panel system that could reduce his bills as much as possible, with a payback period that made it worth while. But the client wanted the panels not to be visible from the garden or driveway.
We provided a proposal for a 15.8kw system with the panels mounted flat against the horizontal. The proposal showed an estimated 95% annual saving on electricity costs (not including standing charges) and a payback period under five years.
The client accepted the proposal and we set a date for the installation.

Solution
We mounted 28 solar panels with a combined capacity of 15.8kW. At the client’s request, we mounted the panels flat against the horizontal to keep the installation out of line of sight from the garden or driveway.
The client was concerned about the cabling, for aesthetic reasons but also for safety as the client had a known issue with nesting birds on the roof.
Marblanc Solar’s team were able to keep all cables hidden from the roof through the garage and into the property, to connect to the inverter. It was a complex job which required cutting precise holes and was completed flawlessly.
After installation, we swapped the client’s bill to a new electricity provider offering a feed-in tariff and virtual battery.
We also monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks as part of our post-installation services. We then assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-ups.

The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar and left us a message thanking our solar installation team for the tidy work.
