About the Project
The client’s electricity bill had risen to almost €3,800 the previous August. Marblanc Solar installed a large 35kW system which cut the client’s electricity costs by around 81%.
Background
The client was referred to Marblanc Solar. We set a date for a free solar survey, where we carried out a home visit, drone inspection, 3D shading analysis, savings estimation and custom proposal for the client.
During the home visit, the client passed us recent electricity bills. Consumption in August the previous year reached €3,766 due to the property having high-power appliances such as multiple pool heaters, air conditioning, and more.
The client’s property has an aesthetic appeal which we needed to respect, making sure the solar panels and installation were inconspicuous.

Solution
Our free solar survey estimated a bill reduction in summer from €3,766 down to €736.
Although the client did not live at the property all year round, they wanted to proceed as the long-term savings were substantial.
Having completed installations on similar properties – such as this installation in Nueva Andalucía – we suggested the solar panels can be placed flat against the horizontal. We also installed batteries and inverters on the roof to keep them out of sight.
We mounted 61 solar panels with a combined capacity of 34.465kW, as well as three 6.9kW batteries, to offset high consumption when the client was in the property.
The installation took just three days.
After installation, we swapped the client’s bill to a new electricity provider offering a feed-in tariff and virtual battery. We also monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks and assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-ups.
