Installation: 39 solar panels + 20kWh solar inverter + “virtual battery” feed-in tariff + smartphone app
Background
Following a sudden electricty price increase, the client had received a €4,000 monthly bill and wanted to reduce energy costs.
The customer also requested the panels be mounted at a flat angle in order to to maintain the aesthetics of the villa.
Solution
Solar panels reach peak performance when south-facing and angled between 15-40°. But in this case, we needed to mount them with no inclination. After an on-site drone inspection and 3D shading analysis we identified the need for 39 panels and the best placement.
After installation, we found a cheaper electricity tariff with another provider for his grid usage.
We also monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks.
This helped us find inefficiencies in the client’s usage of appliances. And we made improvements using plug timers and optimised circuits to reduce grid consumption as much as possible.
Result
Client’s monthly electricity bills reduced fell by 83% – from €4,000 to €700.
The client has been added to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule one of our free annual check-ups.
