The client wanted a solar installation to significantly reduce their monthly electricity bills. Marblanc Solar installed a 7.92kW solar energy system, which will also reduce electricity costs by over €2,900 a year.
The client decided to transition to solar energy for their villa in Riviera del Sol, Mijas, to gain long-term protection against the volatile costs of the electricity market.
Marblanc Solar has many installations in Mijas. We began the process with our free solar survey, which includes an on-site visit, drone analysis, a shading scan, and a detailed proposal.
Our survey engineer discovered that the client was spending approximately €6,000 on electricity a year.
To maximize the potential of the property, we used our Pylon software to simulate production and calculate the best placement for the panels, ensuring we could integrate the high-wattage modules effectively despite limited roof space.
Our proposal is expected to reduce the electricity bills by €2,900 a year. Before the installation, the monthly bill was €500, which has now been lowered to a new monthly bill of €257.52.
Our team installed a 7.92kW system across the most sun-drenched roof areas of the villa.
During the installation, we hid all cabling neatly, protected the roof structure, and secured the solar panels to withstand extreme weather, completing the entire process faster than the client expected.
As part of our post-installation support, we then secured an exclusive solar feed-in tariff with a virtual battery.
We then monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks to help optimise their appliance usage with plug timers and use of our solar app. Finally, we assigned the client to one of our Monday–Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, should they have any questions.
The project has delivered an annual saving of €2,900 with an expected break-even point in 6–7 years. By comparing the new monthly bill of €257.52 to the original €500, the client has achieved a 48% reduction in their electricity costs. SAVINGS UNDER 80% – FIND A REASON WHY: The villa has an exceptionally high baseline energy demand due to heavy air conditioning and pool heating requirements, meaning that even with a large battery, some grid reliance remains during peak consumption periods.
