About the Project
The client had a property in Mijas and was paying around €350 month on electricity, while suffering frequent power outages. Marblanc Solar installed a 13.56kW system, which cut the client’s electricity costs by around 74%.
Background
The client requested a free solar survey from Marblanc Solar, for which we carried out a home visit, drone inspection, 3D shading analysis, savings estimation and custom proposal.
During the home visit, the client complained about frequent power outages in the Mijas Costa region. Recent electricity bills showed he had an annual electricity bill of around €4,000 (roughly €350/ month) which he hoped to reduce, while also maintaining power during a blackout.
The client had recently purchased an electric car, so he was interested in an electric car charger.
The results of our free solar survey showed he could expect to save close to €3,000/ year on electricity, should he approve our plan. In other words, should he choose to install our solar panels, he could expect an average monthly electricity bill of €80 (not including standing charges), instead of €350.
Following our proposal presentation and some adjustments, the client proceeded with the installation.
Equipment Installed
- 24x JaSolar 565W solar panels
- 1x Huawei 7 kWh AI solar battery
- 2x Huawei solar inverters (10KTL & 5KTL)
- 1x 22kW Huawei EV charger
- 1x Huawei backup box
Solution
We mounted 24 solar panels, with a combined capacity of 13.56kW, as well as a 7kW AI solar battery, to provide enough power to the property and to keep bills low while also running an EV charger.
The backup box installed protects the owner’s essential circuits in the event of a power outage. Prior to installation, we consulted with the homeowner to decide which circuits would be prioritised (for example, the fridge, freezer, lights, hot water, etc.).
After installation, we also monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks and assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, should they have any questions, as well as to schedule their first free annual check-up.
Results
The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar, especially our ability to fit a complex installation that kept the owner’s property running during Spain’s nationwide blackout in 2025.
