Residential Solar Panel Installations in Spain

Get a proposal for a solar system that will deliver on its promises – starting with a free drone survey, a 3D performance model, and a proposal built on your actual numbers.

Professional System Design

A qualified survey engineer visits your property, conducts a precision drone scan, and models your roof geometry, shading, orientation, and seasonal variation using the world’s leading solar design software. Every proposal built on real data – not a salesperson’s estimate.

In-House Team

Every stage of your installation is carried out by our own qualified electricians and survey engineers – no subcontractors, no handymen. Cables are hidden from view as standard, penetrations are plastered over, broken tiles replaces, and your property left exactly as we found it.

Equipment Specialists

We are official partners and registered installers for the world’s leading solar brands – including Huawei, Enphase, Fronius, Tesla, and SolarEdge. Our team undergoes regular training and are experienced in installing the best equipment on the Spanish market.

System Upgrades

Solar panels are often just the starting point. We can install EV chargers, solar batteries, backup boxes, and project manage plumbing-based systems such as heat pumps and pool heaters. We build pergolas and ground-mounted steel frames if your roof isn’t the best option.

Full Legal Registration

We handle the entire legal process on your behalf – from the Declaración Responsable and Licencia de Obra Menor to the post-installation electrical certificate and autonomous community registration. Your system will be fully compliant and correctly registered to access the solar feed-in tariff.

Aftersales Care

Every client receives three years of aftersales support as standard – including remote performance monitoring, direct WhatsApp access to your engineer and our co-owners, annual service, annual panel clean, and emergency callouts seven days a week. Backed by our 25-year workmanship warranty.

Tired of Solar Quotes From Salespeople Who've Never Wired a Plug?

Most homeowners on the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca have the same experience. A sales rep turns up – no electrical qualifications, no roof measurements, no real data – and hands you a figure that sounds good. But in reality, it’s based on nothing.

  • No drone scan
  • No performance simulation
  • No factoring in shading, orientation & seasons

You won’t believe the things we’ve seen. A homeowner in Marbella once called us out to check why their installation (not ours) wasn’t producing power. The reason? The installer had placed the panels in shade without any direct sunlight.

We believe you deserve a solar quotation process that provides full confidence in the system you’re considering. And can deliver on its promises.

Real-life Examples of promises delivered

Marblanc Solar offers our clients a 25-year workmanship warranty on top of standard equipment warranties. We stand behind our work and deliver on our promises of how much you'll save.

See real-life examples of bill savings achieved below.

Delivering on an 87% Bill reduction promise

We promised this homeowner in Manilva an 87% reduction in electricity costs (exc. standing charges). The client shared their October bills from before and after the installation – this proved a 100% reduction in costs from €191 down to €40, which was the fixed standing charge.

Over-delivering by €1,500+ a year

This client in Sotogrande had a bill of €817 in the summer before going solar. We promised them an 80% reduction in electricity costs. But a year later, in August, their electricity costs fell 100% down to just €30. The difference means €1,500+ more annual savings than expected.

Delivering 8% Further Savings As Promised

This client in Marbella had a monthly bill of €3,309 in August before going solar. We promised an 87% reduction but the client’s bill only fell 79% to €700 a month. We returned again to install plug timers and find a better solar feed-in tariff – as a result, the client’s bill fell to €432 and the 87% promise was delivered.

The Problem With Solar "Salespeople"

After launching Marblanc Solar in 2022, we saw the same pattern playing out across the region: Homeowners were being given misleading savings estimates by reps incentivised to win the sale – and not to design the right system.

We believe you deserve a solar proposal that delivers on its promises. That’s why at Marblanc Solar we employ qualified survey engineers and electricians to prepare a proposal, via our Free Solar Survey.

Our solar survey process gives you €250 worth of free value* that includes:

  • Drone scan of roof and property
  • Inspection of home electrics by a qualified professional
  • Thorough Q&A about past electricity usage & desired consumption in future
  • Professional solar design factoring in shading, orientation & seasonal change
  • Performance simulation with the world’s leading solar design software
  • Payback period & ROI calculations
  • Itemised quote and system comparisons

What Clients Say About Our Free Solar Survey

Marblanc Solar's approach to the solar quotation is about educating – and not about "selling". But don't just take our word for it.

Our Story

When Adam Millington founded Marblanc Solar out of our Marbella office in 2022, he'd already spent years working as a qualified electrician on the Costa del Sol. He'd seen first-hand what happened when solar systems were sold by people who didn't understand electricity. Undersized arrays. Incorrect inverter configurations. Customers who'd been promised 70% savings and were still opening €200 electricity bills.

The problem wasn't the technology. Solar works. The problem was the process – and the people delivering it.

Our mission

Adam realised the need to build a company where qualified professionals handle every stage. Not salespeople. Not local handymen. Not subcontractors brought in from wherever was cheapest that week. Qualified electricians and certified survey engineers – in-house, on every job.

In 2024, certified survey engineer Roman Mitchell joined as co-owner. He brought with him a rigorous approach to system design and a commitment to solar proposals that can deliver on their promises. Together, they developed the Free Solar Survey: a process that uses precision drone scans, local solar radiation data, and the world's leading solar design software to produce a system design specific to your property.

Marblanc Solar Today

By early 2025, Marblanc Solar had become the top-rated Marbella-based solar installer – over 100 Google Reviews, a 4.9/5.0 rating on Facebook, and a growing reputation across the region.

Our team’s core members include:

In 2026, we expanded to the Costa Blanca with a new office in Javea, Alicante. All electrical work and system commissioning is carried out by a qualified electrician – no exceptions.

The Results

We take pride in under-promising and over-delivering on our proposals. We document as many solar installations as we can and are proud to show proof with before-and-after bills of savings achieved. See our latest projects here.

Most solar companies send a sales rep. We send a qualified survey engineer or certified electrician. Here's what that looks like in practice:

Everything to know about our solar panel installations

Can I request changes to my solar proposal?

Yes – and this is one of the things that sets Marblanc Solar apart.

As far as we know, we are the only solar installer on the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca who presents your proposal in person during a dedicated second home visit. We do this for two reasons.

First, so we can walk you through the reasoning behind every decision – the layout, the equipment specified, and the projected savings – rather than emailing you a PDF and hoping it makes sense.

Second, because our design software allows us to make adjustments in real time. During your proposal visit you can ask us to:

  • Add or remove panels from the system
  • Add or remove equipment such as a battery
  • Switch panel types – for example, from standard monocrystalline to full-black panels

We’ll show you immediately how each change affects the aesthetics, the projected savings, and the total investment. For adjustments that require more detailed calculations, we’ll have a revised proposal back to you within 24 hours.

In most cases, clients leave with at least two final proposals to compare so you can make the right decision for your home and your budget without feeling rushed.

Can I see how the solar panels will look on my roof before committing?

Yes.

Your proposal includes professional mockups designed with the industry-leading software Pylon.

These designs show you the exact layout of your solar installation on your roof – so you can see precisely how it will look before agreeing to anything. This is produced as part of your Free Solar Survey, which provides over €250 worth of survey, design, and proposal value at no cost and with no obligation.

How do you handle cables, roof penetrations, and tidying up after installation?

All cables are hidden from view as standard. We use existing ducting wherever possible to route cables discreetly through your property. Where we need to create a new penetration through a wall or ceiling, we core drill a clean hole and plaster it over on completion so there’s no visible trace of the work.

Any roof tiles disturbed or broken during installation are replaced. Once the system is commissioned and signed off, we carry out a full site clean-up before we leave.

You won’t know we were there – except that your electricity bill will look very different next month.

What other equipment can you install alongside solar panels?

A solar panel system is often the starting point for a broader move towards energy independence — and we can project manage the full picture for you.

EV chargers

We install electric vehicle chargers that integrate with your solar system, allowing you to charge your car on the energy your panels generate rather than paying grid rates.

Solar batteries

Store the surplus energy your panels produce during the day and use it at night or during periods of low generation, reducing your reliance on the grid further.

Backup boxes

Keep essential appliances running during a grid outage. A backup box gives you power continuity even when the grid goes down.

Plumbing and heating systems

We can also project manage the installation of plumbing-based systems that pair well with solar, including air-to-water heat pumps, underfloor heating, and pool heaters. These are installed in coordination with qualified plumbing contractors we work with, with Marblanc Solar managing the full project on your behalf.

Pergolas and custom steel frames

Sometimes the best location for your panels isn’t your roof. We can design and build custom pergolas and steel mounting frames for ground-mounted or terrace installations. Where a structure requires an engineering sign-off, we bring in our trusted structural engineer to secure the necessary licence, design the frame, and oversee the custom build – so your installation is both structurally sound and fully compliant.

Each of these can be installed as part of your initial solar installation or added later.

What aftersales care does Marblanc Solar provide?

Every Marblanc Solar client receives our aftersales support package free of charge for three years from the date of installation.

It starts the moment your system goes live. In the first two weeks, your survey engineer monitors your system remotely – through your solar app and directly via your inverter data through our installer account.

We’re looking for two things:

  • Problems – anything that suggests your system isn’t performing as it should. Low output relative to solar conditions, efficiency drops, or unusual patterns that might indicate a configuration issue. If we spot something, we call you and fix it.
  • Opportunities – patterns in your consumption that are costing you money unnecessarily. Running your pool pump at night and paying grid rates when you could shift it to daytime and run it on free solar energy. Unexpected spikes in consumption pulling electricity from the grid at peak times.

After two weeks, your survey engineer calls you directly with findings and recommendations for optimising your usage around your system’s output. We will then assist with installing plug timers, optimising circuits or finding a better solar feed-in tariff.

From there, your three-year package includes:

Direct WhatsApp access

You’ll be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group with your survey engineer, Project Manager John Bradley, and co-owners Roman Mitchell and Adam Millington. Message any day of the week for questions, concerns, or emergencies. You’re talking directly to the people who know your system.

Annual service

Once a year we carry out a full system service, checking your inverter, connections, and panel performance to ensure everything is operating at its best.

Annual panel clean

Solar panel output degrades with dust and soiling, particularly during the dry summer months on the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca. One professional clean per year is included as standard.

Emergency callouts, 7 days a week

If something serious goes wrong, we come to you. Emergency callouts are available seven days a week for serious emergencies for the full three years.

Does Marblanc Solar help me with the solar feed-in tariff?

Installing solar changes what the best electricity tariff looks like for your home – and most homeowners don’t realise their current deal is no longer the right one once their panels are live.

As part of your aftercare, we take your electricity bill and run a comparison against the solar feed-in tariffs currently available on the market. We identify which deal will maximise the value of the energy your system exports back to the grid. We have a direct relationship with one of Spain’s leading providers of solar feed-in tariff deals, through which we can secure preferential rates for our clients (further details available once your installation is confirmed).

We can also review your current supplier’s available solar tariffs to ensure you’re not missing a deal that’s already available to you.

Once you’ve identified the right tariff, we support you through the switchover process from start to finish.

What warranties does Marblanc Solar offer?

We extend all equipment warranties to the maximum limit offered by the manufacturer – typically 25 years. This means your panels and inverter are protected for the long term.

But we’re also the only solar installer we know of on the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca to provide a workmanship warranty. This warranty is detailed in your solar proposal and means we take full responsibility for the correct working of your system – not just the equipment inside it.

With most other installers, there is no service agreement and no workmanship warranty. If something goes wrong after installation, you’re on your own. We think that’s unacceptable. We stand by every system we design and install – and we put that in writing before you spend a penny.

What happens after my solar panels are installed?

Once your system is installed, commissioning is handled by our Project Manager John Bradley – a qualified electrician holding a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical from the Technological University Dublin.

John connects and configures your inverter, verifies that all system components are communicating correctly, and confirms that your panels are actively generating power before he leaves your property. Every electrical connection is tested and signed off by a qualified electrician – the same standard applied to every Marblanc Solar installation.

Once the system is live, you’ll have a dedicated handover session with both John and the survey engineer who designed your system. Together, they’ll walk you through:

  • Your system components – every part of your installation, what it does, and where it is
  • The solar monitoring app – how to read your real-time generation, consumption, and export data in your solar app, and what to look for day to day
  • Safety features – the location and operation of your isolator switches, what to do in the event of a fault, and when to call us
Your questions – a dedicated Q&A session with the people who designed and built your system, not a call centre

You won’t be handed a manual and left to figure it out. You’ll leave your handover session knowing exactly how your system works and who to call if anything ever changes.

Do you register every system with the authorities?

Yes, we make sure every solar installation is fully legal.

Solar installations in Spain require a specific sequence of legal and administrative steps – getting them wrong can affect your ability to access the solar feed-in tariff or claim any available incentives. Our certified electricians handle the entire process on your behalf.

Here’s what’s involved.

Declaración Responsable

We prepare and submit the Declaración Responsable. It’s the formal notification of your installation to the relevant authority. This requires technical documentation signed by a qualified solar installer holding the Carnet de Instalador de Baja Tensión (the Spanish low-voltage installer licence). Every Marblanc Solar installation is signed off by a licence holder.

Licencia de Obra Menor

In most cases, your installation also requires a Licencia de Obra Menor from your local town hall (Ayuntamiento). This involves payment of the ICIO tax – however, the majority of town halls apply a 95% reduction on this tax for solar installations, significantly reducing the cost.

You can see an overview of the ICIO tax reductions available in popular towns in Malaga, Cadiz, Almeria, Cordoba, Huelva, Jaen, Sevilla, Alicante, Castellon and Valencia here.

Post-installation certification

After your system is installed and commissioned, we provide:

  • The Certificado de Fin de Obra which confirms the installation has been completed
  • The Certificado de Instalación Eléctrica (CIE), also known as the boletín, which is the electrical installation certificate required for your system to be legally connected
  • Registration of your installation in the industrial registry of your autonomous communit

All of this is handled by our team. You don’t need to navigate Spanish bureaucracy on your own.

What solar panel and inverter brands does Marblanc Solar install?

Marblanc Solar are official partners and registered installers for some of the world’s leading solar and inverter manufacturers – including Enphase, Fronius, Tesla, SolarEdge, Growatt, Deye, Goodwe, and Huawei.

Whatever equipment your system requires, we have the experience and accreditation to install it properly.

Solar Inverters

We are most experienced in installing solar inverters from the brands we are partnered with.

While can work with any existing setup or client request, we recommend Huawei inverters to the majority of our clients.

This is for three reasons:

  • Huawei’s superior safety features and reliability (read a longer explanation about why we recommend Huawei inverters here)
  • The Huawei FusionSolar app, which gives you clear, real-time monitoring of your system’s generation and consumption from your phone
  • Seamless integration with other equipment – solar batteries, EV chargers, back up boxes – should you choose to expand the system
Solar Panels

We can work with all solar panel brands. That said, we recommend JA Solar panels for their high efficiency and long-term reliability. We have also installed systems using Hyundai panels and a range of other leading manufacturers.

Whether you’re looking for regular monocrystalline panels or all-black solar panels – which offer a sleeker, more discreet finish popular with homeowners who want a cleaner look on their roof – we’ll recommend the right panel for your property, budget, and system requirements.
