The client wanted a solar installation to effectively eliminate their high monthly electricity bills and achieve energy independence. Marblanc Solar installed a 12kW solar energy system, which will also reduce electricity costs by over €2,620 a year.
The client reached out to us because they were determined to lower the running costs of their villa in Riviera del Sol, Mijas, by harnessing the abundant Andalusian sunshine.
Marblanc Solar has many installations in Mijas. We began the process with our free solar survey, which involves a thorough on-site visit, drone analysis, a shading scan, and a tailored proposal.
Our survey engineer learned that the client was spending approximately €2,622 on electricity a year.
To address the client’s specific energy needs, we used our Pylon software to simulate production and calculate the best placement for the panels, ensuring the 20-panel array would generate maximum output despite the villa’s unique roof pitch.
Our proposal is expected to reduce the electricity bills by €2,620 a year. Before the installation, the monthly bill was €218.54, which has now been reduced to a new monthly bill of €0.20

To ensure the highest quality results, we hid all cabling neatly, protected the roof structure, secured the solar panels to withstand extreme weather, and completed the whole installation faster than the client expected.
As part of our post-installation support, we then secured an exclusive solar feed-in tariff with a virtual battery.
We then monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks to help optimise their appliance usage with plug timers and use of our solar app. Finally, we assigned the client to one of our Monday–Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, should they have any questions.
The project has been a resounding success, resulting in an annual saving of €2,620 and a break-even point within 5–6 years.
