The client wanted a solar installation to significantly reduce their monthly electricity bills. Marblanc Solar installed a 10.71kWp solar energy system, which will also reduce electricity costs by over €2,550 a year.
The client decided to transition to renewable energy to power their villa in Jorox, Alozaina, seeking a long-term solution to rising energy costs in the region.
Marblanc Solar has many installations in Alozaina. We began the process with our free solar survey, which includes a comprehensive on-site visit, drone analysis, a detailed shading scan, and a custom proposal.
During the assessment, our survey engineer reviewed the property’s energy profile and discovered the client was spending approximately €3,571 a year on electricity.
To ensure maximum efficiency for the villa, we used our Pylon software to simulate production and calculate the best placement for the panels, focusing on overcoming specific orientation challenges to shape a high-performance proposal.
Our proposal is expected to reduce the electricity bills by €2,550 a year. Before the installation, the monthly bill was €297.64, which is now projected to drop to just €84.58.
Our team installed a 10.71kWp system across the most productive roof areas of the villa to capture maximum daily sunlight.
During the process, we ensured all cabling was hidden neatly to maintain the villa’s aesthetic, protected the underlying roof structure, and secured the solar panels to withstand extreme weather, completing the work faster than the client expected.
As part of our post-installation support, we then secured an exclusive solar feed-in tariff with a virtual battery.
We then monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks to help optimise their appliance usage with plug timers and use of our solar app. Finally, we assigned the client to one of our Monday–Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups, should they have any questions.
This project resulted in a total annual saving of €2,550, with a projected break-even point in 7–8 years. By reducing the monthly bill from €297.64 to €84.58, the client has achieved a 71% reduction in their costs. Usually at Marblanc Solar we aim to cut a client's bills by 80% – in this case, the client opted for a smaller battery capacity relative to their high baseline consumption, meaning some peak evening usage still relies on the grid.
