The client had a property in Torre Real in Marbella and was paying over €4,500 a year on electricity. Marblanc Solar installed a 9.6kW system, which will help the owner save around €2,500 a year on bills.
The client contacted Marblanc Solar for a free solar survey, during which our survey engineer completed a drone inspection and consultation before preparing a custom proposal.
During the home visit, the client showed our survey engineer a recent electricity bill. The client had paid €4,747 in the last year on electricity – an average of €395 a month.
The consumption was relatively high due to the usage of high-power appliances. Following the requests of the client, our proposal showed the client could expect to save €2,500 a year on electricity. The estimation showed the client would be able to cut their bills to an average of €190 month – down from €395 – and have a payback period of under 4 years.
Following our proposal presentation and some adjustments, the client proceeded with the installation.
We mounted 17 solar panels with a combined capacity of 9.065kW. The client could have cut their bills lower with a larger system, but this installation is expected to pay for itself in under 4 years.
The installation itself was split into two parts: we mounted 11 panels flat against the horizontal on the roof and 6 more panels on the carport on a separate string. (The carport installation is not pictured here).
Following installation, we compared solar feed-in tariff providers and selected the best option for the client. Following legal registration of the installation, we moved them to a new virtual battery deal.
As part of our post-installation support, we then monitored the client’s electricity usage every day for two weeks and assigned the client to one of our Monday-Sunday WhatsApp aftercare groups for any future questions, and to schedule their first free annual check-ups.
The client was satisfied with the service from Marblanc Solar, especially as a neighbour immediately called us to install the exact same system. (The neighbour’s property is not the one pictured here above, on the left.)
