Commercial Solar Installations on the Costa del Sol & Costa Blanca

Solar systems engineered around your business's real electricity consumption, installed and legalised by our own qualified team – for premises from 20 kW to 100 kW across both coasts.

What Is a Commercial Solar Installation?

A commercial solar installation is a photovoltaic system engineered around a business’s real electricity consumption, so most of what it generates is used on site. Marblanc Solar designs, installs and legalises systems from 20 kW to 100 kW for businesses across the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca and Valencia province. We serve all kinds of businesses and commercial premises such as:

  • Restaurants
  • Hotels
  • Offices
  • Rental properties (AirBnb)
  • New-build developments
  • Warehouses
  • Industrial units

Our Commercial Solar Installations Services Include

Engineered System Design

Your proposal is modelled in Pylon using local solar radiation data and your own consumption profile. You get projected annual output, self-consumption percentage and break-even – with two system options, so you can see what the extra investment buys.

Consumption Analysis

We start with twelve months of your electricity bills and your real usage pattern – not an estimate. That tells us how much you consume during generation hours, what runs after dark, and what size of system your building actually justifies.

Roof and Site Survey

A qualified survey engineer visits the premises, runs a drone inspection of the roof and analyses shading across every face. On multi-pitch and tiled roofs, that’s what determines whether an array performs or quietly underdelivers.

In-House Team

Every installation is carried out by qualified Marblanc electricians. No subcontractors, no sales team handing you over. Single- and three-phase systems, battery storage, and all fixings sealed to keep a commercial roof weather-tight.

Monitoring and Aftercare

Three years of free servicing, daily monitoring for the first two weeks to tune consumption, and a direct WhatsApp line seven days a week. We’ll also move you onto a feed-in tariff so surplus generation earns rather than disappears.

Full Legal Registration

We complete the full tramitación ourselves – Licencia de Obra Menor, Declaración Responsable, boletín eléctrico and the procedures with your distributor. You don’t chase paperwork, and the system is legally connected before we call the job finished.

Commercial Solar by Property Type

Every commercial building has a different roof, a different consumption pattern and a different reason solar pays. Here's how the numbers tend to work across the property types we install for most often.

Property type Roof and mounting Typical system size What drives the return
Restaurants and bars Pitched clay tile, array split across several faces 20–30 kW with battery Evening trade runs long after generation stops, so storage is what lifts self-consumption from around a third to closer to two thirds
Hotels and boutique accommodation Flat roof on ballasted frames, or pitched tile 30–100 kW Air conditioning, hot water and laundry draw steadily through the day, every day of the season
Rental and events properties Pitched tile, laid out discreetly to protect the appearance of the building 25–40 kW with battery Pool plant, air conditioning and guest demand all peak in the months when electricity costs most
New-build developments Specified at construction and integrated into the roof design 20–100 kW per plot Cheaper to install before handover than to retrofit, and it lifts the value of the finished property
Offices and retail units Flat roof on ballasted frames, or fixed to membrane 20–50 kW Trading hours sit directly under the generation curve, so most of what the system makes is used on site
Warehouses and industrial units Sandwich panel or metal deck, with ground mount where the roof is unsuitable 50–100 kW Large uninterrupted roof area paired with steady weekday consumption

System sizes are indicative. Every proposal is built from twelve months of your actual consumption data and a site survey of your roof. For projects above 100 kW we deliver with engineering partners, with Marblanc Solar as your single point of contact throughout.

Three Quotes, Three Different Systems, No Way to Tell Which Is Right

Ask three installers to quote your premises and you’ll get three different system sizes. One says 25 kW, another says 40 kW, the third quotes a battery the others never mentioned. All three claim savings. None of them show you how they arrived at the number. That’s manageable on a house. On a commercial building it isn’t.

Oversize the system and you’ve spent capital on generation you export for a fraction of what it cost you to produce. Undersize it and you’re still buying peak-rate electricity through your busiest hours.

The reason the quotes differ is that most of them are produced by salespeople.

  • Nobody inspects the electrics.
  • Nobody models the array against real shading across each roof face.
  • Nobody asks what your consumption actually looks like at four in the afternoon in August, or at ten at night when the kitchen is still running.

So you’re asked to commit five figures to a system nobody has engineered, on the word of the company selling it.

Real-life Examples of promises delivered

Marblanc Solar offers our clients a 25-year workmanship warranty on top of standard equipment warranties. We stand behind our work and deliver on our promises of how much you'll save.

See real-life examples of bill savings achieved below.

25 kW Restaurant System, Mijas

A Mijas restaurant was spending €7,640 a year on electricity. We installed 42 panels and a 30.72 kWh battery across a multi-pitch tiled roof, sized around evening trade. The annual bill is on track to fall by 79% – leading to €6,011 saved in the first year.

35 kW New-build Development System, Benahavís

A Marbella-based property development company specified solar into a new build in Los Flamingos in Benahavís, which was being rented out as a luxury holiday home. We installed 61 panels and 20.7 kWh of Huawei storage. The August electricity bill fell from €3,766 to €736 – an 81% reduction. The developer has contracted further installations across the Costa del Sol.

26.5 kW Rental Property System, Marbella

A property management company owning several luxury rental properties on the Costa del Sol wanted to reduce operational costs for a villa in Nueva Andalucía, rented out via AirBnb. We installed 47 panels and 15 kWh of battery storage, leading to annual savings over €4,380 on electricity.

Every Proposal Is Engineered, Not Estimated

At Marblanc Solar we produce engineered proposals.

Every commercial installation starts with a Free Solar Survey, carried out by a qualified survey engineer rather than a salesperson. It’s how we arrive at a system size we can defend and how you get a projection that holds up once the panels are on the roof.

Your survey includes:

  • Drone scan of the roof and property
  • Inspection of your electrics by a qualified professional
  • Analysis of twelve months of actual consumption
  • Solar design accounting for shading, orientation and seasonal change
  • Performance simulation in Pylon, the industry’s leading design software
  • Payback period and ROI calculations
  • Two itemised system options, costed and compared

Our Story

When Adam Millington founded Marblanc Solar out of our Marbella office in 2022, he'd already spent years working as a qualified electrician on the Costa del Sol. He'd seen first-hand what happened when solar systems were sold by people who didn't understand electricity – undersized arrays, incorrect inverter configurations and customers who'd been promised 70% savings and were still opening €200 electricity bills.

The problem wasn't the technology – solar works. The problem was the process and the people delivering it.

Our mission

Adam realised the need to build a company where qualified professionals handle every stage – not just salespeople, local handymen and subcontractors brought in from wherever was cheapest that week. Qualified electricians and certified survey engineers – in-house, on every job.

In 2024, certified survey engineer Roman Mitchell joined as co-owner. He brought with him a rigorous approach to system design and a commitment to solar proposals that can deliver on their promises. Together, they developed the Free Solar Survey – a process that uses precision drone scans, local solar radiation data and the world's leading solar design software to produce a system design specific to your property.

In 2026, we expanded to the Costa Blanca with a new office in Javea, Alicante. All electrical work and system commissioning is carried out by a qualified electrician – no exceptions.

Aftersales care built for commercial clients

A commercial system doesn’t reach its projected savings on the day it’s switched on. It gets there over the following weeks, as consumption is tuned to match generation.

That’s why our aftersales care package is included free for three years with every installation:

  • Daily monitoring for the first two weeks, so we can see how the system performs against its projection and adjust before habits set.
  • Remote consumption monitoring thereafter, identifying where savings are being left on the table.
  • A direct WhatsApp channel, seven days a week, to your survey engineer and project manager.
  • Annual servicing, keeping the system performing at the level your proposal promised.

Everything to know about our commercial solar panel installations

See answers to the most common questions about our commercial solar installation services. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please contact us.

Can you install on a warehouse or industrial unit?

Yes, on sandwich panel and metal deck roofs, or ground-mounted where the roof isn’t suitable, up to 100 kW. Our completed commercial work to date is in hospitality, rental property and new-build development rather than industrial premises – so if you want references from a comparable installation, ask and we’ll tell you honestly what we have.

Do I need a battery for a commercial installation?

It depends on when your business uses electricity. A restaurant trading into the evening consumes most of its power after generation has stopped, so storage is what makes the numbers work – at our Mijas restaurant installation, a 30.72 kWh battery lifted self-consumption from 36% to 62%. An office operating nine to five may not need one, because its demand already sits under the generation curve. The survey answers this with your own data rather than an assumption.

Is financing available for commercial installations?

Yes, through a finance partner. We don’t offer PPAs or solar renting – we install systems you own outright, which means the savings, the tax treatment and the asset all stay with your business rather than being shared with an energy provider over a fifteen-year contract.

Do you handle the legalisation and paperwork?

Yes, entirely in-house. We complete the full tramitación – the boletín eléctrico, registration and the access and connection procedures with your distributor. You don’t chase paperwork or coordinate between parties, and we don’t consider a job finished until the system is legally connected.

What size commercial system can Marblanc Solar install?

Our commercial installations run from 20 kW to 100 kW. The largest we’ve completed to date is a 35 kW system in Benahavís. For projects above 100 kW we deliver with engineering partners, who handle the technical project and works direction, with Marblanc Solar remaining your single point of contact from survey through to legalisation.

Can Marblanc Solar help us get the most out of our system after installation?

Yes – and for commercial clients, this is often where the biggest gains are made. Through our aftersales care package, included free for three years with every installation, we provide remote consumption monitoring, 24/7 access to your survey engineer and co-owners via a direct WhatsApp channel, emergency callouts, and annual servicing. Beyond that, we actively support commercial clients with feed-in tariff comparisons, usage optimisation advice, and practical recommendations to align your highest-consumption activity with peak solar production hours. Getting the system right is step one – making sure it keeps delivering on its promises is what our aftersales care is built for.

How long does a commercial solar installation take to pay for itself?

Payback on our commercial installations typically falls between four and five years. A 25 kW system with battery storage at a Mijas restaurant cut the annual electricity bill from €7,640 to €1,629 – a saving of €6,011 a year, with a discounted payback of four to five years. Your figure depends on your consumption pattern, your tariff and how much of your generation you use on site, all of which the survey establishes before you commit.

Is Marblanc Solar’s free solar survey suitable for large commercial properties?

Yes – our free solar survey process is designed to handle installations of any size and complexity. For commercial properties, we carry out a full drone scan of the roof and building, a qualified inspection of your electrics, and a thorough Q&A covering your past electricity usage and future consumption requirements. We then model the system using Pylon, world-leading performance simulation software, to produce payback period calculations, ROI projections, and an itemised quote with system comparisons. The result is a proposal built on real data – not assumptions – regardless of how large or complex your installation is.
